CheckInSpec™ barcodes are programmed to automatically detect and diagnose compliance errors during the design/production of consumer packaging, before the errors become costly to correct.

CheckInSpec™ performs detailed tests and measurements, then automatically documents the results in a compact table in the margin of approval artwork, laser prints, PDFs, final-film, or plates (as they are RIPed). CheckInSpec™ barcodes are compatible with all major desktop design software packages. CheckInSpec™ technology does not require plug-ins, software add-ons, or special extensions. So there is nothing to install, operate, or maintain. CheckInSpec™ compliments PDF workflow and also includes some of its documentation details in Adobe Acrobat® annotations (as do all Barcode Graphics EPS barcodes). CheckInSpec™ is a patent pending technology based upon smART–EPS™ technology (also developed by Barcode Graphics Inc).

To ensure data accuracy, Barcode Graphics’ Data Base Checking service verifies the manufacturers’ number and product number* before producing each EPS. Pantone™ colour contrast in the 670nm light wavelength (used by scanners) is also checked for colour barcodes.

Fast turnaround and quality service are Barcode Graphics hallmarks. Instant EPS barcodes are now available using BGI's customized on-line order system. Shipping delays and costs are eliminated by delivering orders via Internet E-mail or FTP.

Barcode Graphics' EPS barcodes are produced using the same proprietary software used to create high-precision film-masters for over 20 years. Our software yields barcodes that are significantly more accurate than those of many commercially available desktop barcode software packages.

Barcodes can contain our patented CheckSpread™ technology; an integrated spread gauge which allows easy monitoring of ink-spread on-press without a verifier. Verifiers are recommended as an adjunct to CheckInSpec™ and CheckSpread™.
